📌 PIN Team

PIN (Public Intelligence Network) is an open AI research community built around a lightweight and decentralized collaboration model.

We bring together researchers and developers to advance open AI through papers, models, datasets, software, benchmarks, and other research artifacts. PIN represents our belief that intelligence should increasingly become open, reusable, and collectively accessible.

Membership

Anyone may apply to join PIN and may leave at any time. The members listed on our Hugging Face page constitute the current membership. Members may use PIN Team / Public Intelligence Network as their organizational affiliation when releasing eligible research or open-source projects. Members are free to initiate and develop projects independently.

Open-Source Principle

Work released under the PIN name should be open-source by default. Exceptions require approval from the Steering Committee. Public releases carrying the PIN affiliation require a majority vote of the Steering Committee.

Steering Committee

The committee consists of at most nine members and is formed based on sustained academic or open-source contributions. Applicants whose GitHub stars, Google Scholar citations, or comparable contribution indicators exceed those of at least two existing committee members are eligible to join. When fewer than two committee members exist, applications are admitted by default. Membership is reviewed annually.
